When Panic Attacks Strike | What To Do | Why We Do It
What To Do
Well, unfortunately there is not much we can do when panic attacks strike. It’s like trying to stop a hurricane once it’s started, it’s not going to happen. (Don’t stop reading! The good news is at the end.)
However, there are a couple of things we can do to regain composure.
“Two things we can do when panic attacks begin is go outside and be alone for a little while. Doing some deep breathing can also help a little. Realize that the attack will not last that long. Ride it out.”
The only real way to stop anxiety attacks is to prepare your body to not have them in advance, that’s the real secret. Once they start the brain and nervous system have taken over and it’s too late.
Why We Must Prepare
Preparing your nervous system and brain to not experience panic attack is the only way to truly cure ourselves of this horrible condition. And, there are many ways in which we can exert control over our nervous systems and brains!
When Panic Attacks Strike | Form A Natural Treatment Plan For Your Anxiety
Diet
- We must drink more water – 1/2 the body weight in ounces every day.
- We must eat more green vegetables and fruits – don’t underestimate this – alkaline minerals are powerful.
- Cut out: coffee, hard alcohol, fast foods, processed foods, sugar and white flour.
- Eat enough protein – 0.5 – 1.0 grams per pound of body weight.
Soothing The Nervous System
- Exercise. Move your body three to four times a week for thirty minutes or more.
- Take or give yourself massage, take alternating hot/cold shower, do progressive relaxation.
- Learn deep abdominal breathing and simple yoga stretches. 10 minutes a day.
